Endorse the CAFT

All professors, instructors, and administrators affiliated with an institution of higher learning are invited to endorse The Commitment to Academic Freedom and Tolerance (CAFT) as a sign of support for its principles. In addition, professional organizations composed primarily of such individuals, as well as organizations devoted to higher education affairs, are also welcome to endorse the CAFT.

There are two options for endorsing the CAFT:

Option 1: Sign the CAFT (Preferred)

Using a university email account, send an email to thecaft@zohomail.com including the following:

  • “I, (Name Here), would like to be listed as a signatory of the CAFT.”

  • As you would like them to appear on the CAFT website, your:

Option 2: Endorse the CAFT Anonymously

You also have the option of endorsing the CAFT anonymously. Anonymous endorsements will be listed separately from the main list of signatories. We will list only the number of anonymous endorsements until 20 have been received. After that point, we will also list the fields and institutions from which the endorsements come. (To protect anonymity, the fields and institutions will be listed separately. No one will be able to tell, for example, that the musicology professor who endorsed the CAFT also came from a particular university).
